Revelation, Dan Herrera

Dan Herrera

Title: Chief Technical Officer

First Job: My first job was cleaning up a second-hand shop when I was 13. I saved up all of my pay from my first job to buy a plastic Napoleonic chess set from the very same shop I was cleaning. I'm still pretty sure I got taken for a ride on the price.

Favorite Store: Billy Galaxy. It's like a time-portal to my childhood.

What you like about your current work at Revelation: I love the development culture at Revelation, we work hard to provide a process and culture that facilitates great work.

Lori Heckmann

Title: Director of Business Development

First Job: My first unpaid job was selling Camp Fire Girls candy. I sold enough peanut clusters and thin mints in the fourth grade to pay for summer camp.

Favorite Store: Beecrowbee. Located in the small town of Joseph, Oregon near the Wallowa Mountains, this shop sells homemade soaps, lotions, and potions. Walking into Beecrowbee soothes all my senses. It calms, centers, and refreshes me — especially after a week of camping in the dirt.

What you like about your current work at Revelation: As I break the bindings of my new planner, I am getting more and more excited to bring new customers into the fold.

Rachel Bell

Title: Director of Customer Experience

First Job:  East Coast Records

Favorite Store: Powell's Books. I love the experience of walking into one of the country's largest independent book stores and know that the entire building is filled with stories. The possibilities are endless—head to the basement and you'll be transported into a world of culinary tales and recipes, stroll the first floor and browse great fiction and literary gems. Every floor offers a different path for a reader to choose.

What you like about your current work at Revelation: What I enjoy most about my job is the opportunity to connect with people. A large part of my responsibility at Revelation is to act as the conduit between our customers and our software development team. We put the software in the hands of users who continually come up with amazing ideas on how to improve our product. This position gives me the opportunity to listen to researchers' ideas and work with the development team to bring those ideas to life as features in our software.

Max Ogden

Title: Jr. Agilist

First Job: Small town computer shop fixing computers

Favorite Store: Uwajimaya Asian Market because most of the time I have no idea what I bought until I open and sample my purchases. I'm usually still confused after this step, actually. That's what makes it so great!

What you like about your current work at Revelation: There is very little bureaucracy which is very refreshing and makes everyone happy and eager to talk to each other to solve problems. Also, we have a dog friendly office!

Elizabeth MacLaughlin
