Recent updates to Revelation's Studyspace!
Posted August 2nd 2010 by Rachel
Our software developers have been making some enhancements to Revelation over the past few weeks. And we have some other great things happening in the near future.
Text Editor
Our software developers have completely overhauled the text editor in the activity builder. The new text editor is easier to use and reduces the amount of time it takes to format text in your activities. The new text editor also improves the ability to import text from word processing applications, as well as cutting and pasting text from web pages. We've worked very hard to make the operation seamless and easy to work with. If you ever get stuck, use the Remove Formatting button to remove any formatting that didn't copy as intended from your original document.
Researcher Tech Support
We're excited to announce the newly improved help button for researchers. Researchers can now request technical assistance directly from the site. Researchers will find the tech support area by clicking the Question Mark button in the upper right corner of Studyspace and selecting the "Contact Support Team" tab. Communicating with our tech support department by using this feature helps us resolve support issues quickly. In addition, you can get in-line documentation and how to videos on how to use features in the system by clicking the "Help With This Page" tab.
Participant Profile File Upload
Thanks to lots of great user feedback we've simplified the process for uploading participants and the custom data associated with each participant. You can use the custom data for participants to customize reports and have easy access to participant data right on the screen. No more flipping through spreadsheets to find the information yo
u need for each participant.
Video
We've spent quite a bit of time further enhancing the video experience for researchers and participants. Participants and researchers can upload videos up to 500mb. Video files now upload more quickly - for both researchers and participants. And most video file formats are accepted in the system including AAC, AVI, 3GP, FLV, MOV, MP3, MP4, MPEG, OGG, WAV, WEBM, WMA, WMV and many more.
Coming Soon...
Our design and software development teams are tackling a new design and new features for scheduling activities. You can look forward to a more visual and dynamic scheduling interface in our next stage of Revelation's development.
